So this is my entry for the Music Motif Challenge hosted by Retro Indie Josh and 8 bits to Infinity! 

This was my first time composing ever, so I'm considering myself in the Beginner category. This was done in some five to six hours, I guess (I kinda lost track) with composition done entirely on MuseScore.

I used the motif as a recurring melody theme as well as more or less setting the rhythm pattern for the track as a whole. I suppose the drums are also reproducing the motif (rhythmically).

I got a very start-and-stop feel to the song, so I guess I eventually did the composition as a field soundtrack for like Area 1-2 or something. Something bright and with a predictable rhythm (even if not the easiest rhythm out there) to express a stuttering start but one that will go down well, nonetheless.
